I never intended to go to this.
There is this festival outside of my hometown - as moby says on his website 'like yesterday i wrote about giant strawberries and mud somewhere in a field in germany (i don't actually know where i was, but frank black and kraftwerk were there, so i knew it was ok)' describes pretty well where it was (middle of nowhere) and how I feel about it as well :)..
and we got tickets the last night. It was freezing, rainy, and the opposite of cozy.

We got to see Moby and Kraftwerk and it was just amazing. Having no expectations can make for some very special times..
I am very glad I went, despite the straw that's all over my car, the house and in particular, the bed.

I learned today, that apparently a lot of the artists were put into a hotel called 'hühnerhof', which means pretty much chicken courtyard or farm and it's this rather rustic country 'inn', along one of the bigger roads leading to my hometown.
Just the image of any of those artists - like, Lily Allen, Kate Perry, Faith No More, Nick Cave, Pixies, Faith No More, Eagles of Death Metal, Kings of Leon, Franz Ferdinand, NIN, Moby, just to name a few, staying there made me laugh.

A little project, where I've been helping a friend to take pictures for her art school application..
It took us to a few locations, was really enjoyable and fun, but tight deadlines and some additional crazyness that needed immediate attention as well, while I was working on the images reminded me way too much of the not so good times in architecture.

Laurentides, September '09

.. a gift for some very special people, that I got to know while travelling in Canada last fall.. they live in the most beautiful spot in the Laurentides, north of Montreal.
staying there meant a break from everything and plenty to think. and simply live. with nature, and the best food possible. and meeting shizu.
